Background

The 2 slide deck is simply a standard format for reporting a team’s progress. All teams in the central factory, regardless of function, follow the format for consistency.

Populating the 2 slide template is quite easy for managers who are aligned with the WSPro frameworks. Managers who pretend to apply the frameworks or don’t apply them at all have a tough time finding the data for the decks.

The 2 slide deck template should be filled out/refreshed on a weekly basis.

There are a large variety and number of teams and functions within the central factory and the 2 slide deck was created to simplify and standardize reporting.

Any VP, SVP, or EVP should be able to quickly digest the slide and understand the important insights and decisions that managers are making for their team next week.

Elite managers strike the right balance by concisely communicating the most important decisions without going into unnecessary length and complexity.

On slide 3, we are not looking for a novel. We’re looking for you as the manager to make the right decision about what is the most important content to cover for each bullet.

Elite managers are concise and only communicate the most important points. They make the most important decision, provide data-driven and unit-specific rationale, and quantify the impact of their decision.

As you build this slide, make sure you aren’t providing data points that are plainly visible on the previous slide. For example, there is no need to waste a bullet by saying ā€˜this week we moved from producing 55 units to 62 units.ā€

You will need to categorize your decision within the WSPro Framework Matrix which is covered in .
